Trees for Miles

With every driven mile in 2024, Independent Transport Logistics is making the world a bit more beautiful. With our initiative Trees for Miles, we are planting 5 fruit trees in Botswana for every 100.000 kilometers driven with ITL.

We are supporting the school project of StartUp4Kids, a foundation that aims for a world where all children have the opportunity to develop themselves so that they can shape their lives independently and according to their own preferences, while caring for their community and the planet. The foundation achieves this by offering children and mothers life skills programs where they learn about themselves, their rights and responsibilities, saving and handling money, planning and budgeting, and entrepreneurship. Children and mothers learn by doing, so they really start saving, taking care of their vegetable gardens, setting up their businesses, and planting trees, allowing them to create a healthier, greener, and more independent future for themselves.

The more successful our collaboration, the more miles we drive, the more trees the children in Botswana can plant in 2024. Thus, we are making Trees for Miles a project of ours together.

We kickstarted the project by planting 50 fruit trees. With 50 fruit trees, we provide shade for 500 children and feed 5.000 people in Botswana. Additionally, we are planting 5 fruit trees for every 100.000 kilometers driven with ITL. Together, we will make the world a little more beautiful with Trees for Miles.
